I-70 across Kansas

Road Weary

sunny

Riding across Kansas on Interstate 70 today, saw someone riding a motorcycle laying on the tank with his feet straight back just barely high enough to prevent them from dragging on the highway.
Although this is my first day out on the trip and I feel fresh, I had to smile remembering other trips I’ve been on when you have used all 30 butt/seat positions and they are all sore.
Yep only one position left, the frontal belly to tank posture. Not the most manly motorcycle tough guy look. But I wonder how I will look on my return home after over 3000 miles. Criticize not me, just snicker a little.

Packing Up

June 8
After one of the rainiest springs I can remember looks like I may stay dry to start my trip from Blue Springs, Missouri. I plan to arrive in Portland Oregon June 11th to stay with my sister and meet up with my brother.

My brother and I will then head to the coast and travel south to California. I am riding a 2003 Kawasaki Voyager 1200 and brother has a K 1600 GTL BMW. Do not have any planned routes will let the weather and advice from fellow travelers be our guide.

Plan to meet a friend in Estes Park Colorado around the June 22nd before heading home on June 24th. I have not been able to sleep past 5 am for the last 3 days in anticipation.
